1. Online Store Terms

• By using our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have the consent of a guardian.
• You agree not to use our services for any unlawful purpose or to transmit harmful code.
• Breaches of these terms may result in immediate termination of services.

2. Payments and Additional Charges

• Payment information is securely processed via PayFast.
• Additional charges may apply for the repair of damaged knives or specialized services. You will be notified of any such charges before work begins.

3. Promotional Offers and Gift Cards

• Promotions and gift cards may be offered periodically and are subject to specific terms outlined on our website.
• Gift cards:
  • Are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
  • Cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred to another account.
  • Are non-refundable and non-replaceable if lost or stolen.

4. Knife Pickup and Handling

• For now, Knife Care will handle the pickup of knives directly from customers. Customers will be informed of the pickup date and time in advance.
• In the future, Knife Care may introduce shipping options for customers to send knives to us. If shipping is introduced, the terms and safety precautions will be updated accordingly.
• Customers are required to securely package knives for safe handling during pickup.

5. Safety Warnings

• Sharpened knives are extremely sharp and must be handled with caution.
• Knife Care is not liable for injuries resulting from improper handling of sharpened items.
• Keep sharpened implements out of reach of children and exercise care when unpacking and handling knives returned to you.

6. Accuracy of Information

• You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date contact and pickup information to facilitate the service.
• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders if accurate information is not provided or for any other valid reason.

7. Limitation of Liability

• Knife Care provides services “as is” without any guarantees or warranties.
• We are not liable for injuries, damages, or losses arising from the use or handling of sharpened items.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Knife Care and its team against claims, damages, or losses resulting from improper handling of sharpened items or failure to follow safety guidelines.

9. Severability

If any part of these terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

10. Termination

• Either party may terminate these terms at any time.
• If you cancel an order after it has been processed or pickup has been scheduled, a cancellation fee may apply to cover administrative costs.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of South Africa.

12. Changes to Terms of Service

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
